Best beach read--your own book!

Just a quickie post.

Again, the weather was extremely hot today, so I didn't feel like doing anything. I did do my exercise in the pool, though. Thank goodness for pools.

I'm still preparing for Dallas, as are so many of my writer friends. I'm hoping to get through the first draft of my book, Borrowed Tango, before Dallas. Actually, at the moment, the manuscript is more than first draft. I did edit parts of it as I was composing. So, as I go through it now, I'm finding some of the writing is spotty. There are parts I like (the parts I changed as I wrote the first draft), and other parts need work.

I'm hoping I can take a day at the beach tomorrow, and read my own book. How's that for fun?

Hope everyone has recovered from the Fourth and is back to enjoying the summer.

xo, ciao,

Rita

Hey, I like the "read your own book". It's great! Also, love the picture of the Continental Divide. Nice to be part of those exotic places you showed in the photos.

Yep. Reading one's own book is great...trouble is, first you have to WRITE the book!

Glad you are part of these exotic places. It's been fun!
